SVC Catheter: Emergency Dialysis

dressed

This SVC catheter was inserted via my father's internal jugular vein in the neck. This procedure was made when his creatinine level soared up to 1000+ µmol/l (normal values: 53-97 µmol/l) and he needed to have an "emergency dialysis." Thankfully, after two sessions of hemodialysis, his creatinine level went down to 400+ µmol/l. Though he underwent minor surgery to create an Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF, for future dialysis), we are still hoping and praying that his creatinine level will go back to normal.
