Losing a Friend

best friends, entertainment, broken bond, philippines [flickr.com]
We have more or less the same interests and so we became friends. We shared meaningful laughs, some secrets. We promised to help each other out and most of all, we made a pact.

We agreed to buy a ship to take us to our destination. But one day, you said goodbye but promised to come back and assured me that everything will be okay.

So while you were gone, I was sailing all alone but with your help from afar. But the storm came. It destroyed part of the ship. I contacted you for help but you did not answer until the ship completely sank.

Fortunately, I wore a life jacket. For days I've been there in the ocean waiting for someone to rescue me...waiting for you to rescue me.

Then suddenly, a rescue boat came, and onboard were my family and friends… my real friends. I was hoping you would be there too, but I've learned that you were so busy with your life… and had no time to be with me… to help me out.

Maybe you got exhausted of always helping me out. But that's what friends do. They take care of each other.

But I guess for you everything that we've shared was just nothing. I was wrong about calling you as my friend…true and trusted friend.

But don’t worry, I promise to forget you… to delete you from my memory because what we had was just an illusion and you're gone now.

It's just so sad to think that it's been a year now since the day we've met...and I'm not sure we ever were friends.

Paparazzi

Face of the Week: Paparazzo

We made a stop at the gasoline station to refuel when suddenly a paparazzo entered the scene and started taking photos of us inside the car… (jk, that's my friend)

Paparazzi (plural for paparazzo) originated from the Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini whose film La Dolce Vita featured a character named Signor Paparazzo.

Some would consider them, the paparazzi, as nuisance especially by celebrities. But come to think of it, most celebrities became more famous because of those candid shots taken by the paparazzi.

So every time I see a celebrity freaking out because of the paparazzi, "Well, just another publicity stunt!"

Goodbye SmartBro

I hate to say goodbye but I'll say it anyway, "Goodbye SmartBro"… and

Thank you for all the pains that you've caused me during our one year and few months of being together.

Thank you for all the heartaches that your technical support team (*1888) had given me: 30 minutes to an hour of call waiting. PSR/CSR didn’t know how to troubleshoot.

Thank you for the intermittent connection and the slow speed.

Thank you for not answering or taking appropriate action to my complaint letter.

And most of all, thank you for deceiving the entire community.

I must say that I've learned a lot from you. I have been more patient and understanding now. But I curse the day you were developed.

Now that we parted our ways, I hope that someday, somehow you will realize that "fame isn’t everything."

"A child with severe mental condition (What's Eating Gilbert Grape) who grew up to be an addict (Basketball Diaries), and later fell in love with Juliet (Romeo and Juliet) but they had to hide their relationship. So he went to New York boarding the unsinkable ship but it sank anyway, so he died (Titanic)."

But among his films, What's Eating Gilbert is my favorite.

ZenniOptical Understands

I understand that today's global financial crisis, spending wisely should be observed, using a budget at home is a must, and taking advantage of buying products that are of high quality is appropriate. Fortunately, my family is using a budget: prioritizing first the family's "needs," including eyeglasses.

Why not? Eyeglasses are already part of our lifestyle. They are not only for aiding and correcting defective sight but also for protecting our eyes from glare and against foreign bodies.

The online store ZenniOptical.com understands the global financial situation. So in connection to that, they sell stylish, high quality but cheap and affordable prescription eyeglasses to as low as $8. Moreover, the shipping charge is only $4.95 per order, regardless of the quantity in an order.

A written testimonial in the book Living Rich by Spending Smart will attest on how ZenniOptical.com can help us economize in buying eyeglasses.

My family can truly benefit from ZenniOptical's offer, including YOU. I know you would not want anything more. This is definitely a ticket to own a fashionable, stylish prescription eyeglass that has great quality.

If you are looking for a reliable stylish prescription eyeglass with high quality, why won't you visit ZenniOptical.com to avail of their great offer. I know you would love it.

How To Avoid Bankruptcy

One of the many things I've learned from my late grandfather was to always save money for a rainy day. Even my parents taught me that.

My grandfather adhered to the principle that: It's not important how much money you make but how much money you keep.

So he trained me to have four-envelope accounting:
1. Save 10% of the money you make.
2. Pay the debt.
3. Use a budget.
4. Have a happy home.

Isn’t that simple? So start saving now, and protect your future.

Science Cannot Explain Everything

If all the sciences in the world can explain everything:
Can Physics explain why we fall in love with someone without being affected by gravity?
Why can't Logic help us make things right when we are in love?
Would Chemistry give us the chemical elements of love and its formula?
Can Anatomy locate the scars in our hearts?
Or can Physiology explain why the heart still beats even if it's broken?

Science alone cannot explain everything.
